Introduction

Unified Recording Management System (URMS) is a Call Recording and Screen Capture Platform

URMS comes in three versions; URMS Network (SIP Based Call Recording), URMS InLine (ISDN, PRI and Analogue Call Recording) and URMS Asterisk (Asterisk Based Call Recording). See below for product descriptions.

New! Open Unified Recording (OUR) has been released under GPLv3.

URMS is built on the stability of Linux with a specific focus on security and scalability. URMS has been built from the ground up and in collaboration with our customers and partners.

URMS can be used in any environment requiring call recording and/or screen captures. This ranges from inbound and outbound call centres that need to record calls for quality assurance and compliance, to municipalities such as police departments.

The modular design of URMS allows it to scale from a single user through to a large call centre or a distributed enterprise level organisation operating multiple sites in different geographical locations.

URMS uses AES-256 bit encryption to encrypt all call recordings and screen captures. One of the most powerful features of URMS is its ability to search and index calls. Not only does URMS provide key search fields, it also provides a large number of customer configurable fields, including a memo field.

In addition URMS has been written to integrate with legacy PBXs and can interface with a legacy PBX to harvest Station Messaging Detail Record (SMDR) or Call Detail Record (CDR) data. URMS will work with virtually any storage methodology

The screen capture component of URMS is cross platform compliant and has been tested on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.

URMS offers the features of many leading Digital Call Recording systems and additional features not currently available elsewhere. URMS prides itself on being extremely price competitive and for working closely with its customers and partners in developing the URMS product.

URMS provides call recording for SIP Based Systems, Asterisk Based Systems and Legacy PBX's.

URMS Key Benefits

Monitoring and Quality Control : Calls are recorded and monitored in 'real time'. Additionally URMS provides 'real time' agent statistics. Supervisors can listen to the calls as they are being captured. URMS powerful indexing allows calls to be searched.

Cost : URMS provides an innovative, quality call recording and screen capture platform at an affordable price.

Ease of Use : URMS has a user-friendly intuitive interface, making it easy for agents, supervisors and administrators to quickly learn and fully utilise the system.

Corporate and Government Compliance: The are a number of Corporate and Government Legislations that require call recording and quality assurance. URMS is an excellent product to service this legal requirement. In addition, URMS provides added protection by encrypting this data.

Sales and Credit Transactions : URMS will help you meet your Corporate Governance by providing not only a recorded audit, but a visual audit of the transactions through its screen capture facility. Calls can be exported as GSM, WAV or MP3.

Training and Development : Call Recording and Screen Capture can be used in both training and mentoring. This allows for managers and supervisors to provide valuable feedback.

Visual and Verbal Correlation : URMS can provide both Visual and Verbal Correlation.

Remote Access : Call retrieval and searches are 100% web based. This allows URMS to be accessed over a Wide Area Network and through secure Virtual Private Networks.

URMS Core

URMS Core is at the heart of all URMS products.

URMS Core has a web driven administrator's portal which allows the system administrators to monitor the state of the system, the activity of the agents and to search, play and export call recordings and screen captures.

The call recordings are stored as GSM files providing the best balance of quality and space usage. Recordings can be exported as GSM, WAV and/or MP3 format.

URMS has three levels of user: System Managers, System Supervisors and Agents. System Managers and System Supervisors have full and 'real time' access to monitor all agent activities.

The agent component of URMS is both a web driven and a client application, giving customer the maximum flexibility. The client application has been tested on Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X and Linux and provides the secure screen capture capabilities.

The agent communicates with the URMS server and automatically initiates the screen capture. The URMS agent can run in either interactive or silent mode.

Screen captures are stored as a series of PNG screenshots, which can be played as a movie. The URMS agent uses an intuitive 'real time' comparison routine to ensure that only changes in screens are captured. All screen captures are watermarked and go through an optional colour reduction filter which provides compression, this results in the optimum balance of quality and space usage.

All call recordings and screen captures are stored as AES-256 encrypted files. URMS can be configured to store its data on any available Network Attached Storage. This includes directly attached storage.

URMS Core RC2 introduces automatic call archiving and call retrieval as well as in-depth system trend analysis. Call can automatically be archived as they age onto directly attached storage devices or network attached storage devices. All archived calls are AES-256 encrypted and calls can be retrieved and played directly from storage, through URMS Core

The ability to search and annotate is a key component of URMS. URMS provides a mixture of standard indexing fields such as (DID, Date Time, Agent and Extension as well a 7 custom fields. These custom fields are fully manageable by the system administrators. They can labelled and/or switched on or off. Importantly they include a memo field which is fully indexed and searchable.

URMSs Open Architecture allows it to work in conjunction with any system that produces Station Messaging Detail Record (SMDR) or Call Detail Record (CDR) data.

URMS InLine

URMS InLine is the new release version of URMS.

URMS InLine is built on URMS Core, Release Candidate 2. URMS InLine is an appliance that passively 'taps' Analogue (FXO/FXS), Primary Rate ISDN, T1 and E1 trunks and provides reliable call recording.

This allows integration with both legacy and proprietary systems without interfering with the operation of the PBX.

Tap Box - Passively taps FXO,FXS. E1/T1 lines. The Tap Box provide a high impedance connection that captures these signals with minimal reflections and feeds them into URMS

URMS InLine can integrate with Legacy and Proprietary PBXs.

The Open Architecture of our product also allows us to work with any system that produces Station Messaging Detail Record (SMDR) or Call Detail Record (CDR) data enhancing the indexing of the calls and screen captures.

URMS Asterisk

URMS Asterisk is built on URMS Core and integrates seamlessly with the Asterisk PBX platform.

URMS Network

URMS Network is the current development version of URMS.

URMS Network is built on URMS Core and will is identical in function to URMS InLine and URMS Asterisk with one important exception, URMS Network is a network appliance that sits on the client network and records SIP conversations.

URMS Network will be released as both a hardware appliance and a virtual appliance. Additionally URMS is working with a leading 'secure' data centre to provide URMS both as Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). URMSLite will be released as an OpenSource version of URMS Network and under GPL License.

URMS Network will provide a network appliance and provide call recording for VoIP systems including Asterisk, 3CX and Cisco Call Manager.

The first release candidate of URMS Network will work with any VoIP enabled system. Additionally it will naively integrate with Asterisk and 3CX CDR data.

During the beta phase we will be talking to a number of potential customers. If you are interested in joining our beta test please contact us.

Subsequent releases will increase the versatility of URMS Network by providing complete out of the box integration with a number of leading edge VoIP PBX vendors CDR and SMDR.
